22 and Beyond seeks to educate what changes and challenges individuals and their families face once special education services end. We advocate for better support and services throughout the lifespan.
The goals of this organization are multifaced. Our first goal is to raise awareness about what happens to adults to disabilities after aging out of educational services as well as formally gain 503(c) status with a board.
Once this is accomplished, we hope to be able to provide resources for individuals, families and caregivers about what resources are available as well as what their rights are. In addition, we hope to advocate for legislation to provide more supports for adults with disabilities.
The founder of this organization is sister and advocate, Natalie. Natalie is 28 and works in the education field. She has a younger brother named Jacob who has autism and needs supports throughout his life. More on her story to come!
